The Ambassador Energy Entry Level PV Design and Installation online training course was great! It allowed me to study at my own pace and gave me all of the information that I needed to successfully pass my NABCEP Entry Level test. I would recommend this course for anyone who is working in the solar industry. I have been in the solar industry for almost 8 years and still learned a lot about solar.

I attended Ambassador Energy’s one week (in my own words) “Total Immersion” entry level course for Solar PV Design & Installation in May 2012. I had previously taken an Introduction to PV Systems course online, which used the same text book & information. However, I found that AE’s method of live instruction put the course material in a “Real World Prospective” from the lectures being presented in an understandable manner & allowing time for Q&A, to demonstrating testing equipment & showing us various PV parts from different manufactures, to the class participation of the hands on installation of a 2.3kW system, which instilled the theory & made my PV studies really solidify!

AE’s entire staff was very personable & accommodating, but most importantly the instructor’s personal experience & knowledge of the solar industry definitely enhanced my learning ability. At the completion of the course I was able to take the NABCEP Entry Level exam on site while all the information was fresh in my mind, which I passed! Ambassador Energy offers a well presented & thought out course, which I would highly recommend to anyone considering entering the field.

I have been in the solar industry as a Project Designer/Developer/Manager with for about 4 years and I considered myself fairly knowledgeable in PV solar energy and systems. I soon discovered upon taking the PV Entry Level course that what I knew was only the tip of the ice-burg. Catherine Kelso does an amazing job of breaking down the lengthy, massive text book of information that needs to be learned in order to pass the test. Ambassador energy does a great job of not only teaching the strict NABCEP code, but with explaining the real life application of the content. I must have driven Catherine crazy with the amount of questions I asked but she did an expert job not only of answering each and every one of my questions, but doing so in a fun, charasmatic, and friendly way. Julia who administers the test and who is always around creates a non-tense, and as relaxing of an environment that one could be hope for considering the pressure of taking tests. I can confidently say as a great test taker that there is absolutely no way I could have passed this test without the training, teaching, and detailed presentations from Ambassador Energy on some of the most boring, and interesting topics that I have ever learned. The entire staff at Abassador Energy made me feel welcome and created a learning environment that breeds success. I'm convinced that Ambassador Energy through their diligence, willed me through to achieving my PV Entry Level Certificate of Achievement, which I place second in importance to my college degree from UCSD. Ambassador Energy’s is truly an incredible company. Their 5 day solar training was one of best training classes I have ever been through and having been in the roofing industry for 20 plus years, I have been though a lot of training. I attended the Ambassador Entry Level NABCEP class and it was a good thing that I did! The class curriculum prepared me to PASS the test….the information was clear and easy to learn from first rate instructors! I highly recommend the class!

I got my engineering license, during the practice, I got the contractor licenses. I am good in engineering drawings, but I left the details for juniors to take care. That's why I failed the NABCEP test a couple times, the NABCEP questions are basic but tricky. Ambassador Energy’s solar training course fit my needs, very basic and broad, even including theories of astronomy and structural wind load design. The battery design became a simple arithmetic approach instead of remembering formulas. Amazing.

I recently participated in the NABCEP Entry level solar training conducted by Ambassador Energy in Murrieta, CA. Their focused style of teaching is an effective way to cover a vast amount of material in a relatively short period of time. I recommend this course if you are interested in the PV solar industry.

After being out of school for over a decade I was worried I wouldn't be able to focus or understand how to study for the NABCEP Test. Throughout the week of long classes I had a feeling of community with my other classmates and the instructor made me comfortable and at ease with all the information!

I took the class at Ambassador Energy and passed the NABCEP EL test. It was not easy, but the solar training I got from Catherine at Ambassador was the reason I passed.
