Solar PV 101 is designed for anyone who wants to learn [or brush up on] how solar PV works, including insight on how to sell solar and basic installation protocols. No previous knowledge of solar is necessary.

Solar PV 101 provides a foundation of solar knowledge: how it works / solar PV technology; the components needed to build a system; an introduction to solar quoting; how to size a system; the site evaluation; shade analysis tools; an overview of government incentives; basic financing options available to consumers. The course also includes a hands-on project, where students actually install a complete PV system in the classroom!
