5 Day Solar Training Course

In this solar training course, students learn how photovoltaic (PV) systems operate as well as basic system design and safety practices. The course covers basic electrical terminology, solar fundamentals, detailed discussion of system components, string sizing, site evaluation, shade analysis, system sizing, overcurrent protection, grounding, electrical and mechanical design considerations and OSHA safety standards. The training includes a hands-on project where students will install a complete PV system in the classroom. This course will prepare the students for the NABCEP Entry Level Exam which will be proctored at the end of class. This is an ISPQ accredited course.

Ambassador Energy Safety Net  If you do not pass the Entry Level Exam on your first try, you can come through the class a second time within one year and re-test for just $200 if you bring your original textbook.

This class is offered as a 1 week course (five consecutive days Monday – Friday) or on Fridays for 5 consecutive weeks to help accommodate the schedules of busy professionals. See course calendar for details.
