Representing only a small fraction of the solar photovoltaic workforce, it is not unusual that women are also under-represented in the solar classroom. The Veteran Asset, a non-profit whose mission is facilitating solar training and placing its graduates into jobs within the renewable energy industries, is doing its part to change the statistics by recruiting women.
